Frequently Asked Questions

For quick solutions, we have provided answers to our most frequently asked questions.

What is Ellipsas and how does it work?

Ellipsas is a software that tracks your mental health over time and provides your care team with important information about you and your progress to optimize your treatment plan and help you feel as good as possible.

Two days prior to each appointment (with your mental health professional and a between-visit phone check-in), you will receive an email and a text message with a link to answer a set of assessment questions on how you are feeling.

Your responses will calculate an overall health wellness score, which you will review at each appointment, and the Ellipsas system will create a visual chart to display and track your mental health progress.

How do I activate my Ellipsas account?

Once you are enrolled in Ellipsas by your practice, you will receive an email from the practice with the subject line “Action Required: Activate Your Account for Your Clinic Visits”.

Copy the clinic code, and select “Activate my Account”.

Is there a fee associated with using Ellipsas?

Why do I need to register?

Though registration is not required to complete your patient information and assessments, it is highly encouraged as it provides you access to view your assessment results, track your mental health trending results, and download a PDF with your full history, which can be shared with others at your discretion.

Is my health information safe?

We use bank-level encryption, we do not disclose or sell your personal information to anyone except your provider, and we comply with HIPAA regulations and standards.

How do I get started on Ellipsas?

Your mental health provider will enroll you.

Who do I contact for enrollment assistance?

Your mental health practice will enroll you in Ellipsas. If you are having trouble with the registration process, please fill out our support form.

Why don’t I need to create a password?

We utilize a passwordless authentication solution, allowing you to connect your Ellipsas account to Google or requesting a one-click sign-in link, which would be emailed directly to you. This solution has been proven to be safer than utilizing passwords.

What should I do if I have enrolled and created an account but cannot log into the site?

Make sure you are logging in with the correct google account. Many people have multiple google accounts, so you may be attempting to log in with one that is not associated with your account.

If you are still unable to login, please fill out a Technical Support Contact Form

What should I do if I forgot my password?

The Ellipsas platform utilizes a passwordless authentication solution, meaning your account is either connected to your Google account, or can be accessed through a “magic link”, which is linked to your email account. To login using the magic link, select “Sign-In Link”, which will send you a link to access your Ellipsas account, through your email.

What should I do if the site or some information on the site is unavailable?

Ellipsas monitors its applications for potential availability issues, but if you do encounter an issue, begin by logging out of the platform, then try to log back in.

If that doesn’t work, clear your cookies, refresh your browser, and log back into Ellipsas.

If you are still unable to login, please fill out a Technical Support Contact Form

What should I do if I need to change one of my answers to my profile questions?

At this time, you are not able to edit your profile questions within the Ellipsas system once you have submitted. If there is a major change to your health profile, please let your provider know during your next appointment.

What should I do if I do not receive an email or a text message with a link to access an assessment?

If you have not received an email or text message with a link to your assessment, first, be sure to check your spam folder.

If you are still unable to find a link, log into Ellipsas, and select “Take My Assessment”.

If an assessment is not available for completion, contact your provider, who will be able to trigger an immediate email.

Why is filling out these assessments mandatory?

The more information your provider is able to access on your mental health status, the better care he or she can provide for you. By continually filling out assessments - between visits and immediately prior to a visit - your provider is able to better determine whether your prescribed mental health treatment plan is working properly or needs to be changed or adjusted.

Why do I need to have an appointment with my care team after I complete each assessment?

Once you have completed your Assessment, a member of your care team will call you on your scheduled appointment time. This is an opportunity to not only review your results with a qualified professional, confirm you are on track with your treatment plan, and if not, address any issues or hurdles you are experiencing that are keeping you from staying adherent. This is also a chance to ask any questions, and/or move up your appointment to visit with your prescriber if your treatment plan is not going as planned.

What if I don’t know how to respond to a question?

All questions that appear on your Assessment need to be answered, and we understand it may be difficult to select an answer for some questions. Please select the response from the menu of options that you feel best describes how you have felt in the prior two weeks, or since you last filled out your assessment.

Who has access to my clinical information?

Only you and your care team have access to your clinical information.

How do I get to review the results of my assessment(s)?

To view your results, log into Ellipsas. On the homepage, you will see a trending graph with the results of all assessments you have taken.
